CT+G
have considerable experience in the design of doctors’ surgeries,
dental surgeries, medical centres (for local health authorities and
commercial occupiers), convalescent homes and specialist treatment
facilities.
Recent
work has included several new doctors' surgeries in the Greater
London area including Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Croydon
and Sutton, as well as Potters Bar and throughout the UK.
To
assist the Client’s decision making process, we can provide 3-D
computer aided visualisations where surgery staff and other health
care professionals can be given accurate representations of key
spaces before construction begins.
We
can advise on issues such as disabled access and have provided
access audits for a number of health authorities to ensure that
their premises comply with the requirements of the Disability
Discrimination Act 1995 and other recent legislation. Having
identified shortcomings in existing access provisions we will carry
out the improvement programmes to ensure compliance with the new
legislation.
We
follow ‘up-to-the-minute best practice’ and liaise with building
users to ensure, for example, that the colour scheme and tactile
signage chosen is one which will enable partially sighted and
wheelchairs users to access healthcare buildings.
