Spanning
three centuries, the Practice was founded in
1895. On 1st January 1895 Samuel Clifford Tee, Fellow of the Surveyors Institution, now the Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors, began his own Practice in the City of London.
He rapidly established a wide clientele of industrial and commercial companies. This was a period of rapidly expanding business interests in London and the South East.
Eric Leslie Gale, a nephew by marriage, joined his uncle in the Practice after the First World War, qualifying as an Architect in 1925 and retiring as Senior Partner of the Firm in
1968.
From the broad foundations laid by Clifford Tee a century ago the Practice has developed and maintained
its reputation as Architects and Surveyors serving a wide range of
owners and occupiers.
Whilst proud of its heritage, Clifford Tee + Gale
is an innovative practice and has been an enthusiastic participant in the development of information technology since the firm acquired its first telephone.
