Clifford
Tee+Gale acquired and fitted out new headquarters for SCOPE, the
cerebral palsy charity, ensuring full disabled access throughout the
building compliant with the current accessibility guidance including
in this case, assessment facilities for children with cerebral palsy
and other disabilities. Lifts were also upgraded to meet current
accessibility standards.
The
Practice was recently appointed as architect and building surveyor
undertaking surveys and fitting out works to offices throughout
Britain for the Disability Rights Commission - environments have
been designed to the latest standards with suitably accessible
offices and circulation areas, lifts, stairs, ramps.
New
legislation makes access for the disabled a requirement for many
occupiers – CT+G can undertake access audits and oversee works to
improve access. We are currently providing audits for a number of
health authorities to ensure that their premises comply with the
requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and other
recent legislation. Having identified shortcomings in existing
access provisions we will carry out the improvement programmes to
ensure compliance with the new legislation.
